Benjamin Myers is an American poet and essayist. He was the 2015–16 Poet Laureate of the state of Oklahoma and has authored three books of nonfiction and four books of poetry, among which is included The Family Book of Martyrs. He is a professor of literature and the director of the Great Books Honors Program at Oklahoma Baptist University. His poems often center around his home of Oklahoma and the mystery of humanity and place.
